Anton Bukov is a Russian-born software developer, hacker, smart contract  engineer, and entrepreneur who is best known as the co-author and Co-founder of 1inch Network , an Aggregation Protocol that facilitates cost-efficient and secure swap transactions across multiple liquidity sources.

Anton Bukov is of Russian Nationality but resides in Amstelveen, North Holland, Netherlands.

Anton Bukov started playing with codes and programs at 12 when he was introduced to it in an evening university class for school kids. He is known to have fully started building and developing software in 2002 when he was just 13 years old.

In 2006, Anton Bukov was 17 years old when he started studying cryptography in Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), and during his time there he developed his own C-style language compiler, a TCP/IP OS stack equivalent for network MitM implementation, and lots others for educational purposes.

After five years he graduated with a 4.5 GPA in 2011 and went on to work as a senior C++ developer in a company in Russia for almost three years. He left the company and started working as an IOS Developer for Actor Messaging in 2014.

Eight months later he left and worked for another company as a Senior Mac UI Developer and left after five months to another company where he worked as a Senior iOS developer for almost two years. 

While working in this company he came across the Blockchain  industry and the Cryptocurrency  market for the first time when he was needed to program a spatial arbitrage bot for an exchange.

About a year later he worked as a Blockchain Developer and a Chief Blockchain Engineer for two companies respectively from August 2017 to January 2019. This was pivotal in increasing his passion and interest in Blockchain.

In September 2019 he started working as a Senior Smart Contract Engineer for Near Protocol also called Near Blockchain , a decentralized application filling up the loopholes of Ethereum  by enhancing user-friendliness and throughput.

Anton Bukov is also reported to be developing a Decentralized version of the mutual light-client bridge between Near and Ethereum inspired by Kyber Waterloo Bridge.

On May 17, 2019, four months after Anton Bukov left MultiToken, a company where he worked as a Chief Blockchain Engineer and Consensus Researcher he participated in a Hackathon.

This Hackathon was hosted in Brooklyn, New York, United States by ETHNewYork. Anton Bukov and another Software programmer and engineer, Sergej Kunz; The CryptoManiacs as they tagged themselves because they participated in various Hackathons worldwide, and built a prototype for a DEX Aggregator Solution.

This prototype will later become the base layer of the 1inch Network and Sergej Kunz will later become the Co-founder of this Network. However, this prototype was their least successful hackathon in terms of awards and rewards.

Anton Bukov and Sergej Kunz however continued working on this prototype until it was good enough to be launched for public use and adoption and now it is the largest DEX aggregator by market share, surpassing $1 Billion in trading volume on Ethereum Blockchain.

1inch Network native token 1INCH was created in December 2020 and one year later $175 million worth of 1INCH tokens was sold in a private token sale with institutional investors. The 1inch Network is Valued at around $2.25 billion according to Forbes.
