Changpeng Zhao Popularly called "CZ" is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Binance Exchange , a cryptocurrency exchange popular to be the world's largest according to trading volume.

Changpeng Zhao went from working as a fast-food clerk for McDonald's to working for a subcontractor of the Tokyo Stock Exchange to working full-time for four years at Bloomberg Tradebook to being the Co-founder and CEO of Binance and eventually being one of the world's richest in crypto . 

Changpeng Zhao is a 46-year-old Chinese descent businessman, Investor, Software Engineer, and Philanthropist with Canadian Citizenship. Changpeng was born on the 5th of February 1977 to Two Chinese School Teachers in China. Interestingly or rather ironically a place Cryptocurrency Exchanges is banned as of today. 

However, the family immigrated from China to Canada around 1989 when Changpeng Zhao was 12 years old, subsequently obtaining their Canadian Visas. Changpeng Zhao has always had a tick for technology, and it confirms his subsequent Journey to McGill University in Montreal, Quebec where he majored in Computer science.

One of the most important events that happened after his graduation was moving to Tokyo for his internship and then moving back to China in the year 2005. 

This was apparently In a bid to start his entrepreneurship career as after his arrival to China he founded a startup in respect to his skills as a software developer focusing on trading and financial situations.

This startup or small company went on to become a company providing some of the fastest automated high-frequency trading platforms and systems for stockbrokers.

One of his first recorded encounters with the cryptocurrency market is with Bitcoin . He allegedly bought Bitcoin with all the money made from selling his house in Shanghai, China around the year 2015.

After gaining useful experience from his time working as a subcontractor in the Tokyo Stock Exchange and as a developer in Bloomberg Tradebook, and moving back to China to start his entrepreneurial career in 2005. 

The subsequent experience and skills led him to work for Blockchain.info  as one of the core Blockchain developers, and subsequently, this Journey led him to briefly work for OKCoin  as a Chief Technology Office.

The Binance Exchange became the result of the years and time he spent providing solutions to one financial corporation or the other. 

With a $15 Million initial coin offering, The Binance Exchange was co-founded and launched by Changpeng Zhao (CZ) in the year 2017. It quickly became a widespread sensation and was adopted and accepted worldwide. 

However, just five months after the launch of the Binance Exchange, the Chinese government banned the use of cryptocurrency exchanges as they feared it would accelerate or facilitate financial crimes, scams, and illegal activities.

After the ban, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) left China and resettled in Singapore where he's currently residing as of February 2023. The Binance Exchange was also resettled and it's now headquartered in Japan and continues to thrive and grow although still faced with multiple criticism and unfavorable regulations.
