The social media giant, Meta, following its expansion of creator incentives across its social platform, recently integrated with Arweave for the storing of digital assets like NFTs on its social network - Instagram.

Arweave, a permanent memory layer for humanity as the CEO calls it, is 5 years in the game and will hereon be home to NFTs on Instagram. Samecwilliams, CEO at Arweave took to Twitter to share his delights and applaud his team and Meta for the implementation of permanent storage for its user via Arweave.

Upon this integration, users will be able to connect their Solana and Phantom wallets to view collections information on Opensea. This screams interoperability, which happens to be one of the key points of conversations around recent Meta developments.

"

It’s Creator Week @meta, and we’re announcing a bunch of new tools to help creators build their businesses — including a way to make and sell digital collectibles (NFTs) right on @Instagram

Blockchain has a role in this because it can enable entirely new business models for creators that give them more control over their work and audiences, and how they monetize. But for this tech to truly boost economic opportunity for creators, it needs to be easier to use.

@skasriel tweeted.

Notably, Meta has been on the go when it comes to restructuring the company's social networks to meet the growing demands. Starting with the rebranding to Meta, and a venture to building a metaverse which wasn't very much welcomed by the community due to its too "basic designs", however, the social media giant is yet to stop developing new structures to offer its users more ways to communicate, get involved and monetize their contents.

In more news, the tech/social media giant has recently integrated communications into its messaging app - WhatsApp.
